Microsoft announced the introduction of a new sales tool called Viva Sales. According to the company, the app will help sellers become more organized in terms of data, tasks, and customer records while also giving them a more powerful and “streamlined” selling experience.

Viva Sales will serve as an addition to customer relationship management. The tool will integrate the data from CRM programs and apps like Teams, Outlook, and Microsoft 365 and employ Artificial Intelligence to create “personalized recommendations and insights for sellers.” The ultimate goal is a save time and give sellers a closer relationship with customers.

“With AI embedded throughout, Viva Sales is like a sales coach to move deals along with recommendations and reminders,” said Microsoft in a press release. “This intelligence layer provides sellers the information they need to help them be more productive.”

The curious thing about this new product is that Microsoft isn’t necessarily trying to push its own apps as part of the process. The company is making it compatible with rivals like Salesforce and even encouraging the customers to pick the tool they fit while Viva Sales does the rest.

Viva Sales will become available in July. The app will be free for those who own one of Microsoft’s Dynamics software.
