Walmart Teams Up with Burger King for a New Membership Perk

Walmart is trying a new strategy to get more consumers to sign up for its Walmart+ subscription program. This time, the retail giant teamed up with fast food chain Burger King.

According to an announcement made last week, Walmart+ subscribers will now get 25% off any order they make from Burger King using the chain’s official mobile app. Additionally, customers will get a free Whopper, which can be claimed by any purchase, every three months.

The newest promotion comes at a time when U.S. consumers are scaling back on their dining out habits and are increasingly looking for value deals.

“We’re confident our members will welcome the additional savings, and we’re thrilled to collaborate with a trusted brand like Burger King to offer this benefit,” Walmart said in a statement announcing the partnership.

The partnership is also expected to help Burger King attract more customers and continue growing its sales after a period of stagnation.

Walmart+ was launched in 2020 and offers subscribers a number of perks, including free delivery, free shipping, savings on fuel, and early access to promotions and deals. The subscribers also get access to the streaming service Paramount+. The paid membership costs $12.95 monthly or $98 for an annual subscription.
