Real Estate CEO Heavily Endorses Remote Work

The COVID-19 pandemic affected the world in a myriad of ways. Due to the fact that people were getting sick left and right, people were required to stay socially distant from one another—which led to a revolution in the workplace. Remote work became the norm, and companies learned that employees are actually pretty effective at home.

However, some other people felt different. Certain CEOs felt as though working from home was causing somewhat of a disconnect between employees—and that physical presence in the office meant something. To split the difference, the hybrid work model has now become the norm, with employees being allowed to split their week up with some days in the office and some at home.

According to Christian Ulbrich, the CEO of real estate company JLL Global, remote work deserves heaps of praise.

“What people realized during the pandemic is that they can execute the work from home as well,” the CEO maintained, “Just to do your work, that’s not a reason to come back into the office. It’s about collaboration. It’s about innovation. And so, you have to create an environment which is more attractive in the office than to work from somewhere else.”
